Terms of Service
Effective date: September 17, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Rudow, a logging and observability platform operated by Rudow (“Rudow,” “we,” “us”), including our dashboard, ingest API, client SDKs (@rudow/node-logger, rudow), MCP server, and any related integrations (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, the organization you represent (“you”).
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Rudow lets you send application log data to us (via our SDKs, ingest API, or compatible integrations) and provides tools to search, visualize, and analyze that data, including AI-assisted features and an MCP server that lets compatible AI tools query your data on your behalf.
We may add, change, or remove features at any time, and may modify or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) with reasonable notice where practical.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials confidential. You're responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, API keys, and MCP keys. Notify us immediately at info@rudow.ai if you suspect unauthorized use of your account or a compromised key.
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
3. Your data and acceptable use
3.1 You own your data
You retain all rights to the log and metric data you send to Rudow (“Customer Data”). We process it only to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
3.2 Your responsibility for what you send us
You are solely responsible for the content of the data you send to Rudow, including ensuring you have the right to send it and that it complies with applicable law. You agree not to send us:
- Data you don't have the legal right to collect or transmit (e.g. in violation of your own users' privacy rights).
- Full payment card numbers, bank account credentials, government identification numbers, or health information, unless you have independently verified this is permitted under applicable law and have appropriate safeguards.
- Malicious content, or content intended to exploit or attack the Service or other users.
3.3 Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, plan quotas, or access controls.
- Use an ingest API key, MCP key, or account belonging to someone else without authorization.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell access to the Service beyond your plan's intended use.
- Use the Service to build a directly competing product using data or access obtained through your account.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its infrastructure.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this section.
4. AI-assisted features
Certain features (chat, “AI insights,” semantic search, and any AI tool connected via our MCP server) send relevant portions of your Customer Data to third-party AI model providers to generate responses. By using these features, you consent to that data flow as described in our Privacy Policy. AI-generated output may be inaccurate or incomplete — you should independently verify anything you rely on for operational or business decisions.
5. Fees and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on file for recurring fees, applicable taxes, and any usage-based overage charges specified in your plan.
- Upgrades/downgrades: take effect as described in-app; downgrading may reduce available features or enforce lower usage quotas going forward.
- Non-payment: we may suspend or downgrade your account if payment fails and isn't resolved within a reasonable period.
- Refunds: except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.
- Changes to pricing: we'll give you reasonable advance notice before a price change takes effect on your account.
6. API keys and MCP keys
Ingest API keys and MCP keys are how you (and, if you choose, your connected AI tools) authenticate to the Service. You are responsible for keeping them confidential, scoping them appropriately (e.g. restricting an MCP key to specific projects), and revoking them if compromised. We are not liable for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to secure a key.
7. Intellectual property
We own all rights in the Service itself (excluding your Customer Data and any open-source components we use under their own licenses). Our SDKs (@rudow/node-logger, rudow) are provided under their own published open-source license terms; nothing here restricts your rights under those licenses. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display your Customer Data solely to provide the Service to you.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (including Stripe for payments, Resend for email, and Anthropic/OpenAI/DeepSeek for AI features). We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of these providers, though we select them with reasonable care.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or if we reasonably believe your use poses a security or legal risk to us or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately; we'll handle any remaining Customer Data per our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY AI-GENERATED OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RUDOW WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your Customer Data, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law or third-party rights.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts located in [Venue], and you consent to their jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date, and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
